A You-centric Approach

Part of being a Time Native is keeping things simple. There are just three steps to becoming a Time Native…

    1. Learn how your brain works and how it relates to time Don’t worry, this isn’t as daunting as it may sound. And, we’ll show you how. Once you do this, you’ll understand why things have been hard. You’ll see why the experts’ approaches haven’t worked. And, you’ll have critical information about what will work – for you.
    2. Get really curious about your environment.
What are the things you do? What are the demands on your time? Who are the people in your life? What’s meaningful to you? When you can see your environment as a Time Native, it will be easy to know what won’t work for you and your brain. And what will.
    3. Play! Experiment! Explore!
We’ll give you plenty of tools, tips and tricks to handle different aspects of your life and your time. We won’t try to sell you a one-size-fits-all-system, because those aren’t made for you. But as you play, you will learn what works for you and how to adapt as the demands on your life change.

To see if Time Native is for you, here’s a simple quiz:

Do all of the activities in your day fit neatly into twelve-minute blocks of time?

In other words, does your life look like a day at your dentist’s office?

If you answered yes, Time Native may not be for you, and you can probably find some good resources to help solve your problems. (Many Time Natives use tools we learned in Mission Control; and David Allen’s Getting Things Done is another popular system.)

If you answered no, then we’ve got an alternative approach that works great for many people like you:

Tap into the Power of Your Inner Five-Year-Old

What? Inner five-year-old? I thought you were going to help me with my time?

We are. Just stick with us here for a minute. Think back. When you were five, you had a miraculous capacity to learn, grow and develop.

You learned how to ride a bike, how to read, how to stay out of trouble, how to get into trouble and not get caught.

You were a learning machine.

And, recent breakthroughs in brain science have pinpointed exactly what was going on in your brain during all of that learning:

Human beings learn most powerfully and effectively through curiosity and play.

That’s the “Power of Your Inner Five-Year-Old” we want you to tap into.

What does five-year-old curiosity look like?

Imagine a five-year-old in a new environment. (If you know one personally, imagine that kid.)

When little kids notice something new, their brains snap into action. They’ll look and stare, listen and ask questions.

As they do that, they’re learning. Their brains are laying down new neural pathways and creating new patterns and relationships that help them understand their world.

Play goes even further — it’s curiosity in action.

    1. What happens if I stick the dog’s tail in the light socket?
    2. Can I touch the ceiling if I jump on the bed?
    3. What does it feel like to wear mom’s high heels?

While all this curiosity and play is happening, five-year-olds are learning and growing and developing at an extraordinary pace. The analyzing and memorizing that we adults call learning can’t even come close to what’s going on there.

Now, here’s the really, really great news: we never lose the ability to notice new things, to get curious, and to play. We never lose our ability to learn incredibly quickly. We never lose The Power of Our Inner Five-Year-Old.

Time Native is built on this power. We don’t bring in “Experts” in “Time Management.” We don’t give you an off-the-rack solution designed for someone else’s life. We don’t think something’s wrong with you because you don’t “manage your time” like you think you should.

We do guide you in bringing out The Power of Your Inner Five-Year-Old (perhaps to levels you haven’t seen in years), and applying it to your challenges with time. We guide you to become the expert in your own life and how to run it.

As we guide you through different areas to explore … as you notice, get curious and play with your thoughts, play with your perceptions, your environment … you’ll naturally create something that works for you, that will make you dramatically more effective and productive. You’ll focus on what’s meaningful to you; you’ll let the stress and anxiety fall away, and enjoy your life, right now.

Oh, and did we mention that when you unleash The Power of Your Inner Five-Year-Old, your brain releases the same neurotransmitters as when you’re falling in love?

Show me a “Time Management” program that promises that!!!!

Will this take some time? Of course. You didn’t learn to ride a bike in a day. (Well, at least we didn’t. You might be a Bike Native.) But the path starts here.
